The Crystal River High School Anchor Club was established in September 2008, and received its Charter in May 2009. The club was established with 20 members. They jumped right in to help the Pilot Club of Crystal River with the Brainminders program, holding programs at Crystal River Primary School on a regular basis. The club's second year saw 4 students attend the Anchor Convention in Kissimmee in early March.
